'A cultural
historian, Shere Hite is one of the most celebrated feminist thinkers
and experts on human relationships and sexual behavior in the 20th
century. Shere Hite's ground-breaking Hite Reports had a profound
and lasting influence on generations of readers. The four Hite Reports,
as well as her two later books, have added an increasing depth to
her controversial theories. The first Hite Report (on female sexuality)
was listed by The New York Times as one of the 100 key books of
the 20th century. Dr. Hite's initial research grew out of her involvement
with a feminist group in New York, and it was with the publication
of The Hite Report on Female Sexuality in 1976 that she shot to
international acclaim. Since then she has published The Hite Report
on Male Sexuality; Women and Love and other works. Her new book,
Sex and Business is a blueprint for creating a new social order
in business. Her company, Hite Research International, which specializes
in sexual ethics in the workplace, has consulted twenty out of the
one hundred of the Fortune top 100 coporate heads. Shere Hite is
a frequent lecturer at universities around the world including Harvard,
McGill, Cambridge, The Sorbonne and Oxford.' |
