Commonwealth Bank (CBA.AX) has partnered with Adobe’s Skill Finders to provide customers with access to over 2,000 free digital courses through its app.
As part of the collaboration, CBA has integrated Skill Finder – a free micro-skills marketplace into the Benefits finder feature within the CommBank App.
Customers will then have access to free digital courses in everything from graphic design and coding, to cloud computing, data analysis and management.
Why is CBA offering free courses?
CBA’s head of financial wellbeing Ben Grauer said this new integration with Skill Finder will help customers to also find new learning pathways to build in-demand digital skills that may help prepare them for the next stage in their career.
“Benefits finder is designed to help customers access and claim benefits and rebates they’re entitled to and ultimately improve financial wellbeing,” Grauer said.
CBA said customers have already been using the feature with over 50 per cent of those using Skill Finder starting at least one course.
“This positive uptake demonstrates our customers’ interest in developing critical and transferrable workforce skills, particularly in light of the pandemic accelerating the digital transformation of many businesses,” Grauer said.
Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe ANZ Suzanne Steele said the pandemic has pushed large organisations to collaborate more to deliver benefits to the community.
“The wider corporate Australia has a shared accountability to help provide people with the tools needed to upskill and re-skill in line with emerging skills demand,” she said.
