=> Partnership. Your marketing coach will be your number one ally. Most of my clients don’t have someone they can share their successes with or their challenges with. They certainly can’t share their ups and downs with their employees, friends and family members. They wouldn’t understand and they wouldn’t be able to offer any help.
It’s simple… your clients will hire THE MOST VALUABLE coach they can find. Therefore, coaches who say “I am a coach” show no value. And those that say something like “helping _________[name your clear, specific target market] make another $100K within a couple of months.” Is a marketing message that tells them what is likely, or what is possible.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to admit that you need help. It is difficult that you might need an Internet marketing coach to teach you the way it is done, the way it should be done, to make money online. If making money online were genuinely easy, then there would be many many more people online who are getting rich in Internet marketing. But frankly, it’s not as easy as the commercials make it seem, it’s not as easy as the guy who claims he does all his work in his underwear. I make a nice income online, I do not sit on my underwear, I work 40 plus hours per week.
Go with a coach who truly cares about you. Talk to other people who have worked with the coach that you consider hiring. Probe if this coach is truly interested in helping his clients. Would he go out of his way just to make sure that you are satisfied? Is he willing to offer you everything he knows? Would he spend as much time as needed just to make sure that you’ll get to where you would like to be?
Do you have to attend a coaching school to be a good this article? : Not really; although some people preach about how coaches need to be certified in order to become a coach. I can respect that option. I would rather see a money- back guarantee, and how much a person can increase my business then someone going to a fancy coaching program.
When I ask coaches in my workshops how many new clients they get from their website the answer is frequently 1 in 10 months or so. Or if they are out there networking, it’s probably a new client every few months.
If you can, meet with your coach personally, but if you can’t do that, modern technology has made it possible to meet with coaches in online training centers. That is the next best thing, and it is quite adequate. In fact, many of those training centers are much more than adequate. They are excellent!
Tom Landry, former technology coach of the Dallas Cowboys once said, “My job is to make the guys do what they don’t want to do, so they can be who they’ve always wanted to be.” Often that’s my job as an organizing consultant! Successful people make a habit of doing what failures don’t like to do — and that frequently includes getting organized!

One of the greatest benefits of a technology coach is that you are always accountable to them. Identify someone (Spouse? Partner? Paralegal? Assistant? Colleague?) to keep you on track and ask them to check in and remind you to work on marketing and business development. If you’re not comfortable asking for help, set time in your (Outlook?) calendar and send yourself reminders. Even better? Enlist a partner in your marketing and business development journey and keep each other honest on what you’ve been doing to further the cause.
So what can be learned from history so as it does not repeat itself? I believe it is too late for many agents as in technology coach my opinion the real estate agent business model is obsolete and has even worse leadership. But that’s an article and opinion that has already been voiced.
